Refund and Cancellation Policy
This page explains, in plain words, how cancelling and refunds work for Tell. It summarizes sections 5 and 6 of our Terms of Service; if anything here differs from the Terms, the Terms control.
1. Try it before you pay
The first report is free, and the 14-day trial with 1,000 credits needs no card. You only pay if you choose a plan after trying it.
2. Cancelling
- You can cancel at any time in the app (Settings → Credits → Card, invoices and plan) or in the Stripe billing portal.
- There is no contract or cancellation fee. Cancelling stops the next renewal.
- You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. After that, anything that spends credits pauses; your lists, signals and settings stay until you delete your account.
- Deleting your account cancels the subscription right away and deletes your data.
3. Refunds
Subscription fees are paid in advance and are not refunded for partial periods, unused credits or features you did not use. We do refund:
- Charges made by mistake, such as a duplicate charge or an amount different from the price you agreed to.
- If we discontinue the Service for reasons other than your breach of the Terms: the unused part of the current prepaid period.
- Whenever the law requires a refund, for example consumer protection rules that apply to you.
Refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe; how long they take to appear depends on your bank or card.
4. Credits
Credits have no cash value and are never refunded as money. Inside the Service, some actions give credits back (for example marking a result as Not a fit before working it). Extra credits you turned on are billed for what was used, up to the limit you set.
5. How to ask
Email [email protected] from the address on your account, with the date and amount of the charge, and tell us what happened.
